Inspired by Nature
Delaine Dobbs is a professional dancer, choreographer, teaching artist, and actress whose work spans across live performance and film. Her style fuses together the elegance and grace of classical techniques with the innovation and storytelling of contemporary forms to create poetry in motion.
She is a graduate of The Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater’s certificate program. She also studied with The Joffrey Ballet School, Nashville School for the Arts, and Tennessee’s Governor’s School for the Arts. In addition, she is certified in ballroom dance by DanceVision. Her acting training includes HB Studios in NYC and Tina Gallo in Nashville, TN.

A Vision
Delaine is a wanderer, always on the move from one city to the next. She seeks to explore the world whilst always being a student, continuously learning. She is diving deeper into her spirituality every day and is passionate about astrology and philosophy. Her studies, though, always culminate in one point… making art.
Delaine has been dancing for as long as she can remember. Her work now also encompasses choreography, acting, photography, and writing as she has grown. Her vision for the future includes creating large-scale choreographic works, creating dance films, and building/ owning her own dance studio. She has a deep passion for teaching and sharing what she has learned with others. She will work to enhance the dance community and break down toxic structures existing within it. She invites you to follow her on her journey as she continues to reach into the æther and pull out ideas to materialize into art.
